Democracy is a strategy

… and I do research, teach, and engage in analysis and debates on international and European political institutions, representation, transparency, accountability, and democratic representation. Most of my work is focused on the European Union and national politics in Europe, but I am interested in and teach public policy analysis in other international organisations and national contexts as well.

I am currently based in Copenhagen where I am Professor of European Politics and Public Policy at the Department of Political science, University of Copenhagen. I am a Visiting Professor at my alter mater the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and also teach at the Asian University for Women (AUW) in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
